Hitting Coach

Zach Bayreuther begins his first year as a Blue Devil assistant coach.

Prior to coming to UW-Stout, Bayreuther was a graduate assistant coach at Wayne State in Nebraska as he pursued his masters in Organizational Management in May 2018.

Bayreuther served a summer internship with the Northwoods League Madison Mallards during the summer of 2017, working as the hitting coach and as an operations intern. The Mallards finished second in the league in runs scored and RBIs that summer.

Bayreuther, a native of Janesville, Wis., was an assistant coach for three years for the Ripon College baseball team. 

A 2013 graduate of Ripon College, Bayreuther was the starting shortstop on three Midwest Conference Championship teams. As a player, Bayreuther played in the second-most games in school history (150) and holds the school record for career walks (94). In his four years on the team, Bayreuther batted .288, with 23 doubles, four triples, one home run, and 62 RBI.

Bayreuther earned his bachelor's in Sports Management with a minor in Business from Ripon College in May 2013.
